• Hi, i am becoming increasingly concerned for the future of pedlars. I have been pedling in the west midlands for 15 years.I am also a secondary school teacher now but without pedling i would not have been able to afford to complete my degree or post graduate course. I feel that i owe pedling a lot and would be very downcast if the opportunities that pedling provides were to be denied to others. Recently parliament appears to be moving against the pedlar . I have looked through your sight and at verious debates in parliament. Could you please let me know what the current situation is and what i could do to support pedling.

• The current situation is not possible to put in a nutshell but action can only be advanced through your local MP as your voice in Parliament. Please read every page on http://www.pedlars.info to get up to speed. Thereafter find your MP, request a meeting and we will send you/him a list of the Constitutional Issues raised with The Speaker of the House, the Human Rights issues raised with JCHR, and the legislative issues raised with BERR et al.
  The second reading is still blocked by MP's and cannot continue to Select Committee until further debate on the floor of the House. We urge MP's to raise a Point of Order in that debate.
  If and when it reaches scrutiny in Select Committee, it would be good for you to attend to give evidence along with several other pedlars with whom we are in contact.
  Please confirm that you are up for that.

  I new nothing of all this until i applied for my first pedlars licence on 24 th january this year...
  
  
  It shocking they are trying to abolish the rights of the pedlars certificate...Ive set up a group on facebook.com called "save the pedlars licence" you can add your name any info or updates you have to this. The more support we get the better. my user name on face book is jeangaughan
